The Carolina Panthers will try to play strong defense against the shorthanded Houston Texans, who will be without starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) on Thursday Night Football. The Panthers (2-0) have started fast, limiting their first two opponents to 21 total points, including just seven to the New Orleans Stains last Sunday. The Texans (1-1) are looking to rebound from Sunday’s loss at Cleveland. Neither team made the postseason a year ago.
Kickoff from NRG Stadium in Houston is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Carolina is an eight-point favorite in the latest Panthers vs. Texans odds from all Sportsbooks, while the over-under for total points scored is 43.
